The Willis Group Distinguished Speaker: Dr. Jim Duncan

Event Description
The next Willis Group Distinguished Speaker will be Dr. Jim Duncan, Chief Analyst & Commodity Market Strategist for ConocoPhillips.

Friends of UHV are invited to a reception, beginning at 6 p.m., followed by the presentation at 7 p.m. in Brazos Hall 180 at the UH Sugar Land campus.

Dr. Duncan's expertise includes using mathematical modeling to simulate financial markets as well as extensive market research and analysis to continually evaluate all facets of the market to optimize asset values.

In addition to his financial acumen, Dr. Duncan has a broad background in science and the arts. He spent three years as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the university level. He was also a manager in the petrochemical and additives industries where he had leadership positions in R&D, marketing and business development.

A popular speaker in the natural gas industry, Dr. Duncan has spoken to both producers and end-users on topics such as Strategies of Success for Price Risk, Crisis Price Management and Price Outlook and Natural Gas Fundamentals. Dr. Duncan is a member of the International Association of Energy Economists. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Millsap College in Jackson, MS and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Houston.
